Daniel Dubois will defend his WBO heavyweight title against Fabio Wardley in a rematch on October 17 at The O2 in London.
Dubois stopped Wardley in the 11th round of their first meeting in May, becoming a two-time world champion after a dramatic all-British heavyweight battle.

Wardley had dropped Dubois twice early in the fight, but Dubois recovered and gradually took control before forcing the stoppage after landing sustained punishment.
&“It didn’t take long at all [to agree],”* Wardley said. “The O2 is like a home away from home for me. Looking forward to getting straight back into it. Going to be a rematch and going to be revenge.”
Dubois, meanwhile, is predicting a more decisive performance in the second fight. “Let’s get it on. It’s just a war,” he said while promising a “dominant victory.”
The rematch was announced during the undercard of Moses Itauma vs. Filip Hrgovic, with Dubois and Wardley facing off in the ring ahead of their October showdown.
