Oleksandr Usyk believes WBC heavyweight champion Agit Kabayel would defeat WBO titleholder Daniel Dubois in a potential unification fight.

Usyk has faced Dubois twice and stopped him on both occasions. Their first meeting came during Usyk’s unified title reign, before the Ukrainian defeated him again at Wembley Stadium to become a two-time undisputed heavyweight champion.

Dubois later rebuilt his career and captured the WBO title against Fabio Wardley. Kabayel, meanwhile, was elevated to full WBC champion after Usyk vacated his three world titles.

Asked to compare the champions who succeeded him, Usyk picked Kabayel to overcome Dubois if the two heavyweights meet.

However, Usyk does not consider Kabayel the division’s best long-term force. He also predicted that 21-year-old Moses Itauma could hand the unbeaten German his first professional defeat.
