Derek Chisora believes Daniel Dubois and Moses Itauma are the two heavyweights best positioned to control the division following Oleksandr Usyk’s decision to vacate his world titles.

Usyk’s departure has reshaped the championship picture, with Murat Gassiev elevated to WBA champion, Agit Kabayel upgraded by the WBC and Dubois holding the WBO belt. A fight for the vacant IBF title has also been ordered.

Chisora, however, sees Dubois and Itauma as a level above the rest of the current heavyweight field.

“There is only one person in this generation, right now, who can cause a headache for everybody and that is Moses,” Chisora said. “Then, I think that Daniel has got rid of his demons too.”

The veteran added that he does not see any other heavyweight currently capable of troubling the British pair and expects Dubois, still only 28, to continue improving.

Itauma faces Filip Hrgovic at The O2 Arena in August and is also positioned as the WBO mandatory challenger, creating the possibility of a future fight with Dubois.
