YouTuber-turned-prizefighter Jake Paul and ex-UFC bad boy Nate Diaz are set to clash in an electrifying boxing bout at the American Airlines Center in Dallas. Prepare for a worldwide spectacle as this pay-per-view event is distributed globally by DAZN.
This groundbreaking event is a 50-50 collaboration between Paul’s Most Valuable Promotions and Diaz’s Real Fight Inc. Not only does this mark Diaz’s first foray into self-promotion, but it’s also his first fight outside the UFC in 15 years and his debut in the professional boxing arena. Both fighters have a history of drawing crowds—Diaz with his impressive UFC pay-per-view record, and Paul with his rapid rise in the boxing world.

Tensions between the two fighters have been brewing for the past 18 months, with trash talk exchanged on social media and in interviews. The animosity reached a boiling point in October during a boxing event headlined by Paul and UFC legend Anderson Silva. Backstage, Diaz’s team and Paul’s team were involved in an altercation, which led to Paul challenging Diaz after defeating Silva.
Though Diaz has typically fought at 155 and 170 pounds in MMA, Paul has fought as heavy as 191.5 pounds as a pro. Paul weighed in at 183.6 pounds for his last fight against Tommy Fury. Despite losing his first career boxing bout to Fury in February of 2023 via split decision, the 26-year-old Ohio native remains undefeated against MMA fighters. Having turned pro in 2020, Paul has quickly made a name for himself by defeating Silva, Tyron Woodley, and Ben Askren, with the latter two victories coming by knockout.
