After 18 months out of the ring, Charlo (33‑0, 22 KOs) will meet LaManna (39‑5‑1, 18 KOs) on the Caleb Plant–Armando Resendiz co-main event at Las Vegas’ Michelob Ultra Arena, part of a PBC on Prime Video quadruple‑header designed to build toward a Plant‑Charlo grudge match later this year.
“I’m gonna do my job. I have bigger fights, bigger fish to fry,” Charlo told reporters at Wednesday’s press conference in Los Angeles. “I’m not overlooking LaManna - he’s training for me - but I’ve been at this level for a while and I know how guys come at me.” Charlo has boxed only twice since June 2021, most recently out‑pointing Jose Benavidez Jr. after a long injury lay‑off. The move up to 168 lb, he says, will show a more explosive version of himself.

Sportsbooks list Charlo as high as a 14‑to‑1 favourite, while Plant is an even wider pick to defeat Resendiz in the main event. If both men win, promoter Premier Boxing Champions is expected to finalise a Plant‑Charlo showdown that has simmered since their social‑media exchanges in 2022.

Charlo believes super‑middleweight will suit him perfectly. “I’m used to making weight, but 168 feels like my division,” he said. “This is my chance to re‑introduce myself and then, if possible, get it on with Caleb Plant. I’ve got big things in the works - tune in.”
