Ben Whittaker will headline at The NEC in Birmingham on November 29, taking on Benjamin Gavazi of Germany in what will be Whittaker’s first main event under the Matchroom Boxing banner.
The 28-year-old light heavyweight from West Bromwich recently signed with Matchroom after leaving Boxxer, with promoter Eddie Hearn promising to build his career through major domestic events.

“This is the greatest signing any promoter in the world could have made,” said Hearn. “Ben levels up from the get-go in front of his home fans in Birmingham on what will be an unmissable card stacked with great fights.”
Gavazi will make his UK debut after competing in Kosovo and Bosnia, as he looks to test himself against one of Britain’s most talked-about prospects.
The undercard includes the lightweight rematch between Cameron Vuong and Gavin Gwynne, a fight that’s been a year in the making. Vuong will be looking to settle the score and erase any doubt from their first encounter.
Also confirmed is Molly McCann’s second professional bout after her debut stoppage win in Belfast, with her opponent to be announced soon. Aaron Bowen will face Tom Cowling for the vacant Midlands Area middleweight title, adding local flavor to an already strong lineup.
