Ben Whittaker is reportedly set to face Conor Wallace in an IBF light heavyweight final eliminator on October 3 at BP Pulse Live in Birmingham.
Mick Francis, CEO of Tasman Fighters, said the matchup is in place, although it has not yet been officially announced by the promoters or the IBF.
Wallace is ranked No. 2 by the IBF, while Whittaker sits at No. 3. The winner would become the mandatory challenger for the IBF light heavyweight title and move one step away from a world championship fight.
Whittaker is coming off a second-round stoppage win over Richard Rivera, where he retained his WBC Silver title.
