Andy Ruiz Jr. will return from a two-year absence to face Damian Knyba on September 4 at the Prudential Center in Newark, New Jersey.
The heavyweight clash will headline the third edition of TNT Sports and DAZN’s monthly boxing series, “The Fight,” with the event airing in the United States on TNT, truTV and DAZN, and worldwide on DAZN.
Ruiz recently signed with Matchroom and is aiming to revive his pursuit of a second heavyweight world title. The former unified champion last fought in August 2024, when he drew with Jarrell Miller.

Knyba enters after facing Agit Kabayel for the interim WBC title in January. The 6ft 7in Polish heavyweight will fight at the Prudential Center for the fourth time and could move back into the world title picture with a victory.
Vito Mielnicki Jr. will face Austin “Ammo” Williams in the co-feature. Mielnicki (23-1, 13 KOs) makes his Matchroom debut in his biggest test to date, while Williams (20-2, 12 KOs) looks to rebound after going the distance with WBC middleweight champion Carlos Adames.
Unbeaten Newark prospect Zaquin Moses (7-0, 3 KOs) is also scheduled to appear in his first professional fight in his hometown and his first bout over eight rounds.
