Keyshawn Davis from Norfolk, Virginia, has rapidly evolved from a promising prospect to a serious contender in the lightweight division. After a successful start to his professional career and a silver medal win at the Tokyo Olympics, Davis signed with Top Rank in November 2021. Since then, he has accumulated six victories, making 2023 a particularly active year for him. Notable wins include a ninth-round TKO against Anthony Yigit and a 10-round decision over Francesco Patera. His victory over Nahir Albright, though later ruled a no-contest due to a positive marijuana test, has positioned him closer to a world title shot.

Jose Pedraza, hailing from Cidra, Puerto Rico, is a seasoned fighter with a commendable track record. He secured the IBF junior lightweight world title in June 2015 and successfully defended it against challengers like Edner Cherry and Stephen Smith. He also claimed the WBO lightweight world title in 2018, only to lose it later in a unification bout against Vasiliy Lomachenko.
