Takuma Inoue is set to defend his WBA bantamweight title against fellow Japanese fighter Seiya Tsutsumi on October 13 at Ariake Arena in Tokyo. The 12-round championship bout will headline a four-fight world title card, streaming live on ESPN+. This will mark Inoue’s third ring appearance and title defense of the year.
Inoue, 28, is coming off a unanimous decision victory over Sho Ishida on the Naoya Inoue vs Luis Nery undercard in May. He looks to continue his dominant run as he steps into the ring once more in front of his home crowd. His opponent, the unbeaten Seiya Tsutsumi, is making his first attempt at a world title after stopping Weerawat Noolae in the fourth round in July.
