Mark your calendars for February 24 when three thrilling bantamweight showdowns take over the Ariake Arena in Tokyo, streaming live on ESPN+ (early morning U.S. time). In the main event, Japan’s pound-for-pound standout Junto Nakatani will defend his WBC championship against unbeaten Mexican slugger David Cuellar. Nakatani notched three knockouts in 2024, cementing his place atop the bantamweight division, but Cuellar has the power to make it interesting.

The co-feature pits newly crowned WBA bantamweight champion Seiya Tsutsumi against former flyweight king Daigo Higa in an all-Japanese clash. These two fought to a riveting 10-round draw back in 2020, and fans have been eager for a rematch ever since. Tsutsumi earned his belt in October by defeating Takuma Inoue, while Higa rebounded from a pair of losses with five wins before dropping a close decision to Yoshiki Takei in September.

Rounding out the tripleheader, kickboxing legend Tenshin Nasukawa continues his boxing journey against former champion Jason “Mayhem” Moloney. Tenshin has soared to a top-10 ranking in just five fights. Moloney, meanwhile, hopes to rebound from a setback against Takei, where he had the reigning WBO champion hurt in the final seconds of their clash.

If you’re looking for an early-morning fix of world-class boxing, be sure to tune in on ESPN+ for what could be one of the most memorable bantamweight cards of the new year!

The official poster is not available yet. When it will appear, the tripleheader will be added to our event schedule!
