British heavyweight and 2020 Olympic bronze medalist Frazer Clarke (6-0, 5 KOs) is gearing up to face off against Mariusz “The Viking” Wach (36-9, 19 KOs) at York Hall in London on Sky Sports.
The matchup has not been without its criticisms. Some have voiced disappointment that Clarke, with his impressive amateur pedigree, is being brought along so slowly in his professional career. His opponent, Wach, is an 18-year professional whose performance has declined in recent years, with three losses in his last five fights.
Regardless of the critics, Clarke appears undeterred, stating he’s glad to face a tough opponent like Wach. At 43, Wach brings a wealth of experience, including fights against world champions such as Wladimir Klitschko and Alexander Povetkin. His stature and power are similar to Clarke’s, presenting a unique challenge for the younger boxer.
Undercard is also set to feature several other captivating matchups, including a cruiserweight rematch between Viddal Riley (8-0, 5 KOs) and Anees Taj (7-3, 5 KOs). Also on the card, unbeaten middleweights Aaron McKenna (16-0, 8 KOs) and Shakiel Thompson (10-0, 6 KOs) go head-to-head.
Tickets for the event can be bought at the Ticketmaster website.
