Biography
Nahir Albright (born on September 12, 1994, in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania) is an American professional boxer competing in the lightweight and super lightweight divisions. Nicknamed “Prettyboywoo” and “Woo,” Albright fights out of Sicklerville, New Jersey, and is known for blending technical skill with an aggressive edge. Standing 5 ft 8 in (173 cm) with a 70½-inch reach, the orthodox boxer has built a reputation as one of Philadelphia’s standout fighters, earning recognition as the city’s 2021 Breakout Fighter of the Year.
Albright turned professional in 2016 and steadily developed on the East Coast circuit before stepping onto bigger platforms. In 2021, he scored notable victories over William Parra Smith, Dante Cox, Jeremy Hill and Michael Dutchover, stopping Dutchover after four knockdowns in a breakout performance on Showtime. In 2022, he faced unbeaten contender Jamaine Ortiz for the vacant NABF lightweight title, suffering a unanimous decision loss, but rebounded later that year with a solid win over Estivan Falcao. His willingness to face high-level opposition continued in 2023 when his bout with Keyshawn Davis was later ruled a no contest, followed by a majority decision win over Carlos Balderas in Las Vegas.
In 2025, Albright captured the vacant WBC USA Silver super lightweight title with a majority decision victory over Kelvin Davis, further establishing himself as a serious contender at 140 pounds. With a professional record of 17 wins (7 by knockout) against 2 losses and 1 no contest, he has combined national television exposure on Showtime, ESPN and DAZN with consistent performances in tough matchups. He is scheduled to face Frank Martin in February 2026 in what represents the biggest opportunity of his career.
Outside the ring, Albright draws motivation from his young daughter, Gia, and often speaks openly about his faith and upbringing as one of seven siblings in Philadelphia. He credits God for guiding his path and channels his life experiences into his boxing career. Alongside ambitions of becoming a world champion, Albright has also expressed interest in pursuing music, showcasing the determination and versatility that define his journey.
