Keyshawn Davis eventually made weight for his rematch with Nahir Albright after initially coming in slightly over the 140-pound limit.

On his first attempt, Davis weighed 140.1 pounds, just 0.1 pounds (or 45 grams) above the super lightweight limit. He was then given two hours to shed the extra weight and successfully came back within the limit on his second attempt.

Albright made weight on his first try and was critical of the situation. “Yeah, it’s weird, bro. Unprofessional,” he said after the weigh-in.

He also questioned the delay, suggesting Davis’ team was trying to buy extra time. “They’re stalling so he can try to make the weight,” Albright said.

The fight is still expected to go ahead on May 16 at Scope Arena in Norfolk, Virginia. The rematch already carries history, with Davis originally defeating Albright by majority decision in 2023 before the result was later overturned following a positive marijuana test.
