Lucas Bahdi

Lucas Bahdi is a Canadian lightweight from Niagara Falls, Ontario, who built his foundation in the amateur ranks as a three-time national champion. He turned professional after stepping away from Canada’s Olympic program and quickly established himself as one of the country’s most exciting young fighters. Nicknamed “Prince,” Bahdi boxes from an orthodox stance and is known for his speed, patience and sharp punching.

Bahdi made a major statement in 2024 when he stopped Jesus Amparan in the ninth round to capture the IBF North American lightweight title in his hometown. He followed that up with the biggest win of his career on the Jake Paul vs. Mike Tyson undercard, dramatically stopping previously unbeaten Ashton Sylve in the sixth round after being outboxed for stretches of the fight.

A natural counterpuncher with quick, hard hands, Bahdi likes to work behind his lead hand, probe with the jab and maintain distance with quick step-backs. His low guard and movement can make him difficult to read, although he can still look uncomfortable when opponents close the distance and trap him near the ropes. After the Sylve victory, he signed with Most Valuable Promotions and emerged as a fighter with plenty of upside in the lightweight division.
