Floyd Schofield and Lucas Bahdi have been given another week to reach an agreement for their vacant WBA lightweight title fight.
The purse bid has been postponed until August 18, giving both teams additional time to negotiate a deal. If they reach terms before then, the auction will be cancelled.
The WBA title became vacant after Gervonta “Tank” Davis was moved to “champion in recess” status.
The organization subsequently ordered Schofield and Bahdi to fight for the vacant belt, putting both lightweights within one victory of becoming world champion.
