David Nyika will face Floyd Masson in an official IBF cruiserweight world title eliminator on August 8 at Eventfinda Stadium in Auckland, New Zealand.
The 12-round Trans-Tasman showdown will see Waikato-born Nyika take on Brisbane’s Masson, with the winner earning the IBF No. 1 contender position and a mandatory shot at the vacant IBF cruiserweight world title.
The event, presented by Stonewood Homes, is being billed as one of the biggest nights in New Zealand boxing in recent years.
The eight-fight card will also feature former rugby league star Manu Vatuvei, unbeaten Kiwi contender and IBF No. 2 Sheilla Yama, and more names still to be announced.
