A new era for the bantamweight division is about to begin. Tenshin Nasukawa and Takuma Inoue are officially set to meet for the vacant WBC bantamweight title on November 24 at Toyota Arena in Tokyo, Japan. The event, promoted by Teiken Promotions, will stream live on Prime Video Japan.
The belt became available after Junto Nakatani vacated his titles to move up to 122 pounds, paving the way for two of Japan’s brightest names to collide. Nasukawa, the former kickboxing superstar turned fast-rising boxing contender, will challenge for his first world title after a blistering start in the pro ranks that already includes victories over ex-WBO champion Jason Moloney and Victor Santillan. All seven of his professional bouts have been broadcast by Prime Video in Japan, where he has quickly grown into a headline attraction.
Inoue, meanwhile, looks to reclaim championship glory. The younger brother of Naoya Inoue previously held the WBA bantamweight crown, which he won in 2023 against Liborio Solis before losing it last year in a close battle with Seiya Tsutsumi. This bout will mark his return to the ring after that defeat, with the chance to become a two-time bantamweight titleholder.
