Wilkens Mathieu headlines at Theatre Capitole in Quebec City, Canada, on June 11, facing experienced Brazilian Esquiva Falcao in a super middleweight main event.
Mathieu (15-0, 10 KOs) enters the fight as one of Canada’s fast-rising contenders after dominating Shakeel Phinn over 10 rounds in his last outing. The 21-year-old believes he is ready for another step up and wants to prove it in front of his home crowd.
“Many said I was too young to face Phinn, and they'll probably say the same about Falcao,” Mathieu said. “But people need to understand that I don't have time to waste.”

Falcao (32-2, 21 KOs), a 2012 Olympic bronze medalist and former world title challenger, comes in with far more experience. He previously fought for the vacant IBF middleweight title against Vincenzo Gualtieri in 2023 and now enters on a two-fight winning streak.
“I respect my opponent - I know he's a good, undefeated fighter,” Falcao said. “But he hasn't faced a boxer like me yet.”
The undercard will feature unbeaten light heavyweight Mehmet Unal (15-0, 13 KOs), super middleweight Moreno Fendero (14-0, 10 KOs), Thomas Chabot (12-1, 8 KOs), and Daylen Pepin (2-0).
