British and Commonwealth middleweight champion George Liddard will challenge Dario Morello for the European middleweight title on August 22 at York Hall in London.
Liddard enters the bout unbeaten after victories over Tyler Denny in March and Kieron Conway late last year. The Tony Sims-trained contender is currently ranked inside the top 15 by each of the major sanctioning bodies.

Morello (26-1, 4 KOs) brings considerably more experience into the matchup. The Italian has held titles at both welterweight and middleweight, including the WBO Global, WBC Mediterranean, Italian, and EBU Silver middleweight titles. His only professional defeat came against Luther Clay in 2019, after which Morello rebuilt his career at middleweight and went on to become Italian and EBU Silver champion. The 33-year-old last fought in November, recovering from an early knockdown to defeat Faton Vukshinaj by unanimous decision.
The fight with Liddard will also mark Morello's first professional appearance outside Italy.
The undercard includes Leli Butigieg (12-0, 4 KOs) against PA Gordon and Jimmy Sains (12-0, 10 KOs) against Tom Cowling (15-1, 4 KOs) for the Commonwealth middleweight title. Tiah Mai Ayton will face Ellie Hellewell, while Ioan Croft, Louie Ward, Pat McCormack and Connor Mitchell are also scheduled to appear on the card.
