Super-middleweight puncher Osleys Iglesias (13-0, 12 KOs) will defend his IBO title and fight for a mandatory shot at the IBF belt when he faces Russia’s Vladimir Shishkin (16-1, 10 KOs) at the Cabaret du Casino de Montréal on Wednesday 4 September.
Iglesias, 26, blitzed Marcelo Cóceres, Evgeny Shvedenko, Sena Agbeko and Petro Ivanov in 2024 and insists the September date is another step “belt by belt” toward the top of the division. Shishkin’s sole defeat — a razor-thin decision to William Scull — propelled Scull into May’s lucrative Canelo Álvarez bout, and promoter Dmitriy Salita believes the Cuban-Russian pairing is “a real treat for boxing fans.”
