Ryan Garner will headline a major outdoor event at St. Mary’s Stadium on June 20 when he faces Michael Magnesi for the WBC interim world super featherweight title, with the bout set to stream live on DAZN.
Garner has long spoken about fighting at his hometown club’s stadium, and now gets the opportunity with a world title at stake. “This has been my dream all along and now it is coming true,” he said, adding that victory would leave the full WBC champion with “no place to hide.”

Garner enters the fight in strong form, having built momentum since stopping Juan Jesus Antunez to win the WBC international title in 2023. He has since defended that belt four times and added British, Commonwealth and European honors.
Magnesi (26-2, 13 KOs), a former WBC international and IBO champion, brings experience at a high level. After losing a split decision to Anthony Cacace in 2022, the Italian has remained active, winning, losing, and regaining the WBC silver title in a series of competitive fights.
Promoter Frank Warren described the event as a milestone in Garner’s career. “Winning this fight against Michael Magnesi is Ryan’s gateway to the big time,” he said, highlighting the significance of delivering a stadium fight for a boxer he has promoted since the start of his professional journey.
