Most Valuable Promotions will stage its first-ever U.K. event on April 5 at Olympia Events in London, headlined by a women’s lightweight unification clash between Caroline Dubois and Terri Harper.
Dubois (12-0-1, 5 KOs), fighting out of London, enters the bout following a unanimous decision win over Camilla Panatta in December, her first outing since signing with MVP. Calling the matchup a defining moment, Dubois said: “This is a massive fight in my career and for British boxing, both a legacy fight and unification. The goal is to become undisputed world champion, and this is the first step.” Across the ring will be Harper (16-2-2, 6 KOs), a three-division world champion who recently captured the WBO lightweight title and welcomed the chance to headline MVP’s U.K. launch, saying the fight had been “a long time in the making.”
The co-main event features another major unification, as Ellie Scotney meets Mayelli Flores to crown an undisputed women’s junior featherweight champion. Scotney (11-0, 0 KOs) already holds the IBF, WBO and WBC titles and can become the youngest undisputed champion in U.K. history with a win. Flores (13-1-1, 4 KOs) brings the WBA belt, earned via a split decision victory last May.
Former undisputed junior welterweight champion Chantelle Cameron also appears on the card, moving up to 154 pounds to face Michaela Kotaskova for the vacant WBO junior middleweight title. Cameron (21-1, 8 KOs), the only fighter to defeat Katie Taylor, looks to become a two-division champion after a decision win last July, while Kotaskova (11-0-4, 2 KOs) remains unbeaten.
Announcing the event, MVP co-founders Jake Paul and Nakisa Bidarian said the show reflects their broader vision: “This card already features three of the top pound-for-pound women’s boxers in the world and four world title fights. MVP is the global home of women’s boxing.”
