James “Jazza” Dickens (36-5, 15 KOs) is making the first defense of his WBA junior-lightweight title against Anthony Cacace (24-1, 9 KOs) on March 14 at the 3Arena in Dublin, Ireland. The bout headlines a Queensberry Promotions event staged as part of St Patrick’s Day weekend celebrations, with the card set to stream live on DAZN.
Dickens was elevated to full WBA champion status in early December after the title was stripped from Lamont Roach Jnr, so this is his first full-title defense on Irish soil. The Liverpool fighter earned the interim belt last July with a four-round stoppage of Albert Batyrgaziev.
Standing opposite him will be Cacace, a 36-year-old former IBF champion from Northern Ireland. Cacace has not fought since May 2025, when he stopped Leigh Wood in nine rounds, and now returns straight into a world title opportunity against one of the division’s most in-form fighters.
The March 14 card will also feature a strong co-main event, as Irish junior welterweight Pierce O’Leary (18-0, 10 KOs) takes on Maxi Hughes (29-8-2, 6 KOs) in what has been billed as a long-awaited homecoming fight for O’Leary. Promoter Queensberry Promotions has positioned the bout as a key support attraction.
Queensberry’s Frank Warren said the show is designed to bring world championship boxing back to Dublin at a fitting time, highlighting the city’s boxing history and the appeal of staging the event during St Patrick’s Day weekend and with a world title fight on top, the Dublin date shapes up as one of the early highlights of the 2026 boxing calendar.
