The heavyweight sequel everyone argued for is finally on the calendar: Johnny “Romford Bull” Fisher (13‑0, 11 KOs) vs.  Dave “White Rhino” Allen (23‑7‑2, 18 KOs) headlines Matchroom’s 17 May show at London’s Copper Box Arena, live on DAZN. Eddie Hearn believes the bout can still shift to the larger O2 if early sales explode, but both fighters have already signed for Copper Box and a 10‑round WBA Inter‑Continental title defence for Fisher.

Their first meeting in Riyadh last December produced a split‑decision win for Fisher, though many felt Allen’s knockdown and body‑work deserved the nod. Fisher fought through a perforated eardrum and hit the canvas for the first time in his career; Allen emerged revitalised after three quiet years on the fringe.

Allen insists the result will not be left to the judges again. “If he wants the rematch, we do it - but it’ll only go one way,” he told Sky Sports, adding that Fisher’s ceiling “has been shown now.” The Doncaster veteran is back in full camp at Jamie Moore’s gym and says the Saudi performance reminded him he is “a boxer again.”

Fisher admits the first fight was an “eye‑opener” and vows to be less hospitable this time: “I can’t be as nice - he’s my enemy,” the Essex ticket‑seller told Ring Magazine last week. With new strength coach Philippe Wright on board, Team Fisher expect sharper conditioning to hush doubts raised by December’s late‑round wobble.

Hearn has framed the rematch as an early‑summer acid test: a repeat Fisher victory keeps the unbeaten prospect on course for British‑ and European‑title talk, while an Allen upset would catapult the fan‑favourite into domestic gold contention. Either way, the or Copper Box crowd will have a clear answer to Allen’s promise that “this time there’s only one winner.”
