Biography

Jahi Tucker is an American professional boxer competing in the middleweight division. Born in Brooklyn, New York, Tucker stands 5 ft 11 in (180 cm) with a 68-inch reach and fights from an orthodox stance. A highly regarded prospect, he turned professional with Top Rank at just 17 years old in 2020 and has since compiled a record of 16 wins, 1 loss, and 1 draw, with 7 victories by knockout.

Tucker enjoyed a successful amateur career before entering the paid ranks and was considered one of the brightest young talents in American boxing. He transitioned smoothly into the professional game, building an unbeaten record through victories over opponents including Deandre Anderson, Eric Rodriguez, Jorge Rodrigo Sosa, Akeem Black, D'Andre Smith, and Jose Luis Sanchez. His combination of speed, ring IQ, and technical ability quickly established him as one of the sport's leading young middleweight prospects.

In 2023, Tucker suffered the first setback of his career, dropping a majority decision to Nicklaus Flaz in a closely contested bout. Earlier that year, he had earned an important victory over the durable Nikoloz Sekhniashvili, demonstrating his ability to compete over longer distances. He responded well to the defeat, continuing to develop against increasingly experienced opposition.

Tucker's breakthrough came over the next two years as he pieced together an impressive winning streak. Following a majority draw against unbeaten Olympian Francisco Daniel Veron in December 2023, Tucker elevated his performances with victories over Quincy LaVallais, Santiago Fernandez, Quilisto Madera, former British title challenger Troy Williamson, and Baltimore rival Lorenzo "Truck" Simpson. His unanimous decision victory over Simpson in June 2025 was widely regarded as the biggest win of his career, showcasing his maturity and ability against a proven contender.
