Biography

Chordale Booker, born May 7, 1991, is an American professional boxer competing in the super welterweight division. A talented southpaw, Booker gained recognition as a top-ranked amateur in the United States before turning professional in 2016. He is promoted non-exclusively under Premier Boxing Champions and has built a strong reputation for his skillful footwork, defensive mastery, and sharp counterpunching. Outside of boxing, he is known for his community work and personal training, using his platform to mentor young athletes and at-risk youth.

Raised in Stamford, Connecticut, Booker’s journey into boxing was not a conventional one. After avoiding jail time in his teenage years due to a gun and narcotics charge, he turned his life around by dedicating himself to the sport. Training under former light heavyweight pro Ahmed Mickens at Revolution Training and Fitness, Booker quickly excelled, amassing an impressive amateur record of 111-19. His accolades include winning the 2015 Elite National Championship, Golden Gloves Championship, and Sugar Ray Robinson Most Outstanding Boxer award. He also competed in the 2016 Olympic Trials, narrowly missing a spot on the U.S. team after a close decision loss to future Olympian Charles Conwell.

Booker transitioned seamlessly into the professional ranks, making his debut in March 2016 with a second-round TKO victory. His technical skills and disciplined approach led to an impressive undefeated streak, earning him recognition as a rising star in the super welterweight division. In 2019, he secured a decisive win over Wale Omotoso, a well-respected contender, showcasing his ability to compete at a high level. Despite a setback in 2022 against Austin Williams, Booker rebounded by capturing the WBC USA Super Welterweight title in 2023 and successfully defending it with dominant performances.
