Sebastian Fundora will defend his unified junior middleweight titles against Chordale Booker on March 22 at the Michelob Ultra Arena in Las Vegas. The fight, which comes after Fundora’s originally planned showdown with Errol Spence fell through, will stream live on Amazon Prime Video.

Fundora captured the WBO and vacant WBC belts last March when he stepped in as a late replacement against Tim Tszyu. In a grueling affair, both men suffered significant damage, Tszyu left with a deep cut from an accidental elbow and Fundora with a broken nose. Still, Fundora emerged victorious by split decision, and Errol Spence entered the ring afterward to hype what many expected to be Fundora’s next fight.

Instead, Fundora will square off with Booker, who’s ranked No. 5 by the WBO. Booker bounced back from a first-round stoppage loss to Austin “Ammo” Williams in April 2022 by winning six straight fights. He was set to face Patrick Allotey on February 15, but a bigger opportunity presented itself once Fundora-Spence dissolved.

All eyes are now on March 22 to see if Fundora can maintain his momentum against a motivated challenger. Given Booker’s recent form, the bout promises excitement for fans tuning in on Prime Video.
