Fight Details

Irish legend Katie Taylor (22-0, 6 KOs) will step up in weight, facing undisputed Super-Lightweight World Champion Chantelle Cameron (17-0, 8 KOs) in Dublin, with Cameron’s four titles at 140 lbs on the line.

Taylor, a two-time Olympian and 2012 Olympic group Gold medalist, is a two-division champion in the professional boxing world. Since October 2017, she has held at least one lightweight title and fully unified the division with victories over three other titlists in June 2019. Although she briefly moved up to junior welterweight to dethrone another titlist in November 2019, Taylor has since returned to the lightweight division and successfully defended her undisputed crown seven times. Her next goal is to become one of only two female boxers to fully unify two weight divisions.

Cameron, on the other hand, achieved champion and pound-for-pound status in under six years as a pro. The 31-year-old from Northampton, England, who is nicknamed “Il Capo,” won her first major title in October 2020 and has since successfully defended it four times. These defenses include a victory over IBF titlist Mary McGee in October 2021 and a clear decision win over undisputed welterweight champion Jessica McCaskill in November 2021. Cameron is also promoted by Matchroom Boxing.
