The groundbreaking bout will be structured as 12 three-minute rounds, diverging from the traditional women’s format of 10 two-minute rounds.
The significance of the Serrano vs. Ramos fight cannot be overstated. It echoes the 2007 bout between Layla McCarter and Melissa Hernandez, the last women’s fight to feature 12 three-minute rounds.
