The WBC super flyweight champion Jesse "Bam" Rodriguez is set to defend his title against interim titleholder Pedro Guevara on November 9 at the Wells Fargo Center in Philadelphia. The 12-round championship bout will serve as the co-feature on a card headlined by Jaron Ennis vs. Karen Chukhadzhian, live on DAZN.
Rodriguez, the unbeaten two-division world champion from San Antonio, makes the first defense of his title in his second reign as WBC champion. The 24-year-old southpaw regained his belt in June with a stunning seventh-round knockout of Juan Francisco Estrada. Rodriguez is confident heading into the fight, promising that his reign as champion will continue.
"My belts aren’t going anywhere," Rodriguez declared. "And still!"

His opponent, Pedro Guevara, is no stranger to world title fights. The 35-year-old from Mazatlan, Sinaloa, Mexico, previously held the WBC light flyweight title and now looks to capture his second championship at a higher weight class. Guevara earned the interim WBC 115 lbs title in May with a split-decision win over Andrew Moloney and is eager to seize the opportunity to become a full world champion.
