Oscar “El Pupilo” Collazo will defend his unified WBA, WBO and Ring Magazine minimumweight world titles against Joey Canoy on June 20 at Frontwave Arena in Oceanside, California, live worldwide on DAZN.
Collazo (14-0, 11 KOs) returns after another dominant title defense, stopping Jesus “Chiquito” Haro after six rounds. The unbeaten Puerto Rican champion has continued to build his reputation as one of boxing’s top pound-for-pound fighters, combining pressure, skill and finishing power in one of the sport’s smallest divisions.

Canoy (25-5-2, 15 KOs) arrives from the Philippines as an experienced and dangerous challenger. He has already fought for a world title and won the WBC International mini-flyweight title in April 2025, giving him a real chance to test Collazo with pressure and power.
“I’m so excited to be back in the ring this June 20th against a great and proven opponent like Joey Canoy,” Collazo said. “Fights like these are what keep my career going and motivate me to give my all in every training camp and every fight night.”
Canoy is clear about the size of the opportunity. “I have been dreaming about this all my life,” he said. “I am training hard and I have a month to go. I will do everything to get an upset.”
Oscar De La Hoya said Collazo “should be at the top of everyone’s pound-for-pound list,” while Miguel Cotto called the fight “a true fireworks display in a clash of styles.”
