Joshua Buatsi will launch his Queensberry stint against Zach Parker on November 1 at Manchester’s Co-op Live Arena, marking his first outing since a points defeat to Callum Smith in Riyadh. It’s a reset moment for Buatsi, who enters under Frank Warren’s banner looking to re-ignite a light-heavyweight campaign that once roared with momentum.

The bout marks a crucial return to prominence for Parker who has struggled to land meaningful fights since breaking his hand in a 2022 clash with John Ryder. That bout ended prematurely and ultimately saw Ryder go on to challenge Canelo Alvarez for the undisputed title. Since then, Parker has stayed active, outpointing former WBA champion Tyron Zeuge and defeating Mickael Diallo after Willy Hutchinson withdrew from their scheduled meeting.
Now campaigning at light heavyweight, Parker welcomes the challenge against Buatsi, a former Olympian and one-time WBO interim champion. Ranked No. 3 by the WBO, Parker knows victory would propel him back into world title contention. “Sometimes there’s a lot of fights that get talked about and then they don’t come off,” he said. “As soon as I see my face on a poster, that’s when I know it’s on. I’ve been waiting for a shot like this.”

The undercard adds real intrigue. Newly signed Bradley Rea (21-1, 10 KOs) - fresh off winning the European title against Shakan Pitters on a GBM show - meets seasoned campaigner Lyndon Arthur (24-3, 16 KOs), whose résumé includes bouts with Anthony Yarde and Dmitry Bivol. It’s a classic yardstick fight for Rea and a prove-it opportunity for Arthur in front of a home-soil crowd.
