Steve Claggett

Steve Claggett, known as "The Dragon," is a Canadian professional boxer born on June 11, 1989, in Calgary, Alberta. Standing at 5 feet 8 inches tall with a reach of 70 inches, he fights with an orthodox stance. Claggett began boxing at the age of 13 and had a successful amateur career, winning the Alberta Provincial Championships and the Canadian National Championships in 2007.

He made his professional debut in September 2008 against Brandon Carlick in Edmonton, securing a majority decision victory. Throughout his career, Claggett has faced notable opponents, including two bouts against fellow Canadian Yves Ulysse Jr. Claggett won their first encounter in October 2017 by split decision, while Ulysse Jr. secured a unanimous decision victory in their rematch in April 2019. In June 2024, Claggett challenged WBO super lightweight champion Teofimo Lopez. Despite a valiant effort, he lost the fight by unanimous decision.
