Adam Azim (14-0, 11 KOs) will make his long-awaited return from injury on May 30, taking on Steve Claggett (40-8-2, 28 KOs) at Wembley Arena in London, with the fight set to air live on BBC Two and BBC iPlayer.
The undefeated 23-year-old had originally been scheduled to face Gustavo Lemos in January, but an injury forced him out of the bout. While a rescheduling was expected, Lemos ultimately withdrew, paving the way for a new opponent and a fresh test for Azim as he continues his climb toward world level.

Azim sees the matchup as a key step in his development. “This is another big step forward for me on my journey to a world title,” he said. “Steve Claggett is a tough, experienced fighter… that’s exactly the kind of challenge I want.”
Claggett brings a wealth of experience into the ring. He has previously competed at world-title level, going the distance with Teofimo Lopez in 2024, and is expected to test Azim’s composure and maturity.
With American Richardson Hitchins vacating the IBF title, the division has opened up, and Azim is targeting a move up the rankings with a strong performance. A convincing win could position him for a world-title opportunity within the next 12 months.
