Biography
Oliver Zaren (born November 11, 1999) is a Danish professional boxer from Roskilde, Denmark. Nicknamed “Great Dane,” Zaren stands 6-foot-1 and fights from a southpaw stance. He has competed primarily in the super middleweight division.
Before turning professional, Zaren built a strong amateur background and became a four-time Danish national champion. He later trained under former super middleweight world champion Mikkel Kessler, adding high-level experience to his development as a professional.
Zaren made his professional debut in July 2019 with a first-round stoppage of Arid Dema. He continued his progression with victories across Denmark, Germany, Austria and the United Kingdom, including a points win over John Harding Jr. at York Hall in April 2024 after dropping Harding in the opening round.
Later in 2024, Zaren stopped Thomas Lacroix in the second round and Roberto Arriaza in the second round before halting Carlos Jesus Gallego Montijo in the sixth. He added another knockout victory over Samuel Cavret in March 2025 and then defeated Joseph Maigwisya by unanimous decision over ten rounds in Copenhagen.
In October 2025, Zaren defeated Ante Bilic by unanimous decision to win the vacant IBF Inter-Continental super middleweight title. His June 2026 bout with Jose Luis Navarro Jr. for the vacant European super middleweight title ended in a technical draw after the outdoor fight was stopped because of heavy rain and a storm.
