Nelson Hysa (born September 6, 1984) is an Albanian professional heavyweight boxer from Shkodër, Albania. Nicknamed “The Albanian Eagle,” Hysa stands 6-foot-5 with a 79-inch reach and has built his professional career primarily across Albania and Europe.
Hysa made his professional debut in May 2022, defeating Stefan Cajic after one round. He quickly moved through the early stages of his career with stoppage victories over Drazan Janjanin, Fadil Pasalic and Muhammed Ali Durmaz before earning a six-round unanimous-decision win over former heavyweight contender Danny Williams.
In 2023, Hysa added a series of knockout victories over opponents including Vikapita Meroro, Juan Camilo Novoa, Willbeforce Shihepo and Maximiliano Alejandro Sosa. His win over Sosa earned him the vacant WBC CISBB heavyweight title, while further victories later that year established him as a regular in ten-round heavyweight contests.
Hysa continued collecting regional championships in 2024. He stopped Lukas Ndafoluma in the sixth round to retain the WBF Intercontinental heavyweight title, knocked out Jeison Troncoso to win the vacant IBO International heavyweight title, and then stopped Thorsten Fuchs in the opening round to capture the vacant WBO European heavyweight championship.
He successfully defended the WBO European title with stoppage victories over Todorche Cvetkov and Patrick Korte in 2025 before defeating Abel Pesut to win the vacant WBO Global heavyweight title.
