Tyson Fury’s next fight could come against unbeaten Albanian heavyweight Nelson Hysa, with the 41-year-old reportedly emerging as a leading option before Fury’s planned clash with Anthony Joshua.
Joshua has already booked his interim bout, facing Kristian Prenga in Saudi Arabia on July 25. Fury originally wanted to go straight into the Joshua fight, but with that matchup now expected later in the year, he is also planning a warm-up fight of his own.
Hysa is not officially confirmed, but he is being discussed as a serious option. He is a Queensberry Promotions fighter, a regular Fury sparring partner, and is regarded as a strong ticket seller in London.
Fury has previously said he plans to return on August 1 in Dublin, possibly on the Pierce O’Leary vs. Mark Chamberlain card, though the fight could also land later in the month.
