Callum Peters

Callum Peters (born November 25, 2002) is an Indigenous Australian professional boxer and former amateur standout. One of nine children, Peters began boxing to improve his fitness and spent more than a decade developing under the guidance of his father, Bradley, at North Central Boxing Club in Kapunda, South Australia. He emerged as one of the country’s brightest prospects at the 2022 Commonwealth Games, where, at just 19, he was the youngest member of Australia’s boxing team and earned a silver medal following a razor-thin defeat to Scotland’s Sam Hickey in the middleweight final.

Peters secured his place at the 2024 Paris Olympics by producing a dominant run at the 2023 Pacific Games in Honiara, defeating Tonga’s Roman Viney by unanimous decision to claim gold in the 80kg division. After representing both his country and his Indigenous heritage on the Olympic stage, Peters transitioned to the professional ranks with a reputation for his composure, high work rate and exciting potential.
