Alan Sanchez is a Mexican-American welterweight from Fairfield, California, who built his career by repeatedly taking fights he wasn't expected to win. A tall, long orthodox fighter, Sanchez has made a name for himself as an experienced and difficult opponent who uses his reach and work rate to frustrate more favored fighter
His résumé includes wins over several unbeaten opponents. He stopped John Ryan Grimaldo early in his career, later defeated unbeaten Jose Luis Ramirez Jr., and pulled off one of his biggest upsets against Pablo Cesar Cano, outworking the experienced contender over ten rounds. After suffering back-to-back losses, Sanchez rebuilt his career with another run of strong performances, including split-decision wins over unbeaten Saul Bustos and Angel Beltran Villa.
Sanchez has also shared the ring with established world-level opposition, including Luis Collazo, Alexander Besputin and Daniyar Yeleussinov. Those fights, combined with his long professional career, have given him experience against a wide range of styles and levels of competition.
