Abraham Perez

Abraham Rene Perez is an American professional boxer competing in the flyweight division. Known by the nickname “Hammer,” Perez is an orthodox fighter born in El Paso, Texas, and fighting out of Albuquerque, New Mexico. Standing 5 ft 3 in, he has quickly emerged as one of the more promising fighters in the lighter weight classes.

Perez made an immediate impression in the professional ranks, scoring back-to-back stoppage victories in his first two outings against Matthew Melton and Kenneth Jamerson. He then steadily built experience through a series of decision wins over increasingly seasoned opposition, including Mulapi Enjani, Alejandro Moreno, Isaac Anguiano, and David Vargas Zamora. These fights helped develop his composure over longer distances while sharpening his ring craft against more durable opponents.

His breakthrough came in 2023, when Perez began collecting regional titles and more notable victories. He captured the vacant IBA Intercontinental flyweight title by knocking out Jeronil Borres, followed by another stoppage win over Gilberto Mendoza to add the full IBA Intercontinental title. Later that year, he defeated experienced contender Luis Villa Padilla via ninth-round technical knockout to claim the vacant IBA World flyweight championship, marking his arrival as a serious contender at international level.

Perez continued his ascent in 2024 with a dominant ten-round unanimous decision over Fernando Diaz to win the WBC Youth Silver flyweight title, demonstrating his ability to control fights over championship distance rather than relying solely on knockout power. In 2025, he remained active and unbeaten, adding wins over Jose Rodriguez Montemayor, Angel Geovanny Meza Morales, and Adrian Yair Ibarra Herrera, the latter earning him the NABF flyweight title.

His biggest performance to date came in April 2026, when he completely shut out the highly regarded Esneth Domingo, winning every round on all three scorecards to capture the vacant IBF Inter-Continental flyweight title.
