Zuffa Boxing continues to outline ambitious plans for its rapid expansion, with company head Dana White confirming that the promotion expects to stage more than the 12 shows currently scheduled for 2026. Speaking after the Zuffa 2 event in Las Vegas, White said the company’s momentum is building across multiple platforms, with Paramount+ already in place and Netflix also part of future plans.
Among the most eye-catching developments is Zuffa’s intention to deliver a long-awaited heavyweight blockbuster between Tyson Fury and Anthony Joshua later this year. Zuffa is already linked to Fury’s April 11 comeback fight and is now aiming to take the rivalry further with a Netflix-backed event. In addition, White revealed that the promotion is planning a major U.S. card over Mexican Independence weekend to complement Canelo Alvarez’s return earlier that day in Saudi Arabia.
White’s confidence comes as other major promoters face uncertainty. He referenced Top Rank’s lack of a new network deal following the end of its ESPN agreement, and Golden Boy Promotions dealing with financial pressure surrounding its Los Angeles headquarters. “There’s a lot going on to rock the industry – new signings, more deals, new territories,” White said. “I’m telling you guys by the end of 2026, it’s going to be impressive.”
Inside the ring, Zuffa’s latest Paramount+ card featured former 140lb champion Jose Valenzuela, who scored a convincing win over Diego Torres and called for a future fight with Shakur Stevenson. White confirmed such matchups are possible under the Zuffa banner, noting that fighters would be able to hold both Ring titles and future Zuffa belts.
White also highlighted strong performances elsewhere on the card, including Radivoje Kalajdzic’s comeback knockout win over Oleksandr Gvozdyk and a standout showing from Serhii Bohachuk. With growing interest from fighters and observers across the sport, White made clear that Zuffa Boxing is only getting started. “My approach is to build it up from the ground up,” he said. “Now it’s time to eat.”
