Middleweight contender Vito Mielnicki Jr. has officially signed with Sampson Boxing, finalizing a surprise promotional move after weeks of speculation linking him to Zuffa Boxing.
Mielnicki enters the new chapter following an active 2025 campaign capped by a ninth-round stoppage of previously unbeaten Samuel Nmomah on a November 22 Riyadh Season card - his third straight appearance at middleweight and continued a run that also included a no-contest with Connor Coyle and a dominant 10-round decision over Kamil Gardzielik in June at Newark’s Prudential Center.
The signing ends Mielnicki’s short stint with Top Rank, which concluded amicably after four fights and while discussions were held with Zuffa Boxing, sources confirmed that no written contract was ever signed.
Mielnicki said he believes Lewkowicz can elevate him to world championship level and outlined plans to build momentum locally, with his next three fights targeted for Atlantic City. The strategy centers on growing an already strong fan base in New Jersey and the greater New York area.
Lewkowicz described the agreement as “a new sunrise” for the 2026 campaign, with plans to begin in April in Atlantic City. Further details regarding Mielnicki’s next bout are expected to follow.
