Oleksandr Usyk and Daniel Dubois are on the verge of finalizing a heavyweight championship rematch for July 12 at London’s Wembley Stadium, sources told The Ring. The second meeting would see Usyk defending The Ring Magazine and undisputed heavyweight titles against Dubois, who controversially lost to the Ukrainian by ninth-round knockout in August 2023.
That initial bout in Wroclaw, Poland, generated debate after London-born Dubois appeared to land a body punch that was ruled a low blow in the fifth round. Usyk recovered, ultimately stopping Dubois in the ninth. In the months that followed, both boxers soared to new heights. Usyk claimed two decision victories over Tyson Fury in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, cementing his spot as arguably the best heavyweight of his era - though he vacated the IBF title after their first encounter.
