Whether or not Tyson Fury ever fights again remains unclear, but the former two-time world heavyweight champion is preparing for a new chapter within the sport. The 37-year-old, long rumoured to be considering a comeback, appears instead to be focusing on a role behind the scenes.

Fury, who officially announced his retirement in April 2024, has since entertained speculation about another fight, despite twice losing to Oleksandr Usyk in competitive bouts last year. Yet, speaking on FurociTV, Fury dismissed the idea of a return, saying, “There’s no actual reason for me to go back in the boxing ring. I’m 37 years old, I’ve been punched for the last 25 years, what do I want to go back to boxing for?”

His manager and long-time friend Spencer Brown echoed that sentiment, suggesting Fury is content with life outside the ropes. “Whether Tyson does come back – who knows?” Brown said. “But, at the moment, he seems to be very happy. His new Netflix documentary finishes soon, and then we might hear a bit more news.”

Brown, who founded Goldstar Promotions, revealed that Fury could soon join the company in a co-promotional capacity. The move would formalize Fury’s growing involvement in the promotional side of boxing - an area he’s already begun to explore by supporting Agit Kabayel’s January 10 return in Germany, promoted by Queensberry Promotions and Goldstar.

“They go back a long way, him and Kabayel,” Brown explained. “We’re just doing a deal with Tyson now for him to join Goldstar. He’s been behind Goldstar for a long time – it was him and Turki Alalshikh who created it. I just came up with the name, but they pushed it forward. [Fury] would be a co-promoter if he does jump on board, and I’m sure he will.”
