Jarrell Miller has predicted a major upset ahead of the upcoming heavyweight title clash between Oleksandr Usyk and Rico Verhoeven, backing the underdog despite widespread expectations favoring the champion.

Verhoeven, a decorated kickboxer with a 60-10 record, enters the bout with minimal boxing experience, having fought just once professionally in 2014. He now faces Usyk for the WBC and lineal heavyweight titles in only his second outing in the sport.

Miller, however, sees things differently. Drawing from his familiarity with Verhoeven’s background in kickboxing, he praised the Dutchman’s toughness and competitiveness, suggesting that while the statistics point toward Usyk, the fight may not follow the expected script.

The matchup, scheduled for May 23 at the Pyramids of Giza, represents one of the most unconventional title fights in recent heavyweight history. Verhoeven has the opportunity to become one of the least experienced champions ever, while Usyk continues his reign after dominating both the cruiserweight and heavyweight divisions.
