The appetite for a big clash between Tim Tszyu and Errol Spence clearly exists, but No Limit Boxing must resolve several outstanding issues before the fight can move forward. Chief among them is coordination with broadcaster Fox Sports, whose pay-per-view schedule is already under strain following a busy start to the year.
No Limit recently staged two pay-per-view events in quick succession with Main Event, Fox Sports’ PPV arm. The latest card ended in frustration when Nikita Tszyu’s fight with Michael Zerafa was ruled a no contest due to an early cut, shortly after the promotion had delivered Tim Tszyu’s victory over Anthony Velazquez. Plans were further disrupted when illness forced Paddy Donovan to withdraw from his scheduled bout with Liam Paro.
While Paro is now closing in on a potential fight with IBF welterweight champion Lewis Crocker, that development creates a new complication. Paro, like Tim and Nikita Tszyu, is viewed as a pay-per-view attraction in Australia, and the prospect of staging three PPV events across March and April is seen as a significant risk for both promoter and broadcaster.
No Limit’s Matt Rose acknowledged that, although a Tszyu–Spence bout is appealing, it remains a complex puzzle. He stressed the importance of keeping Tim Tszyu active while balancing the realities of the Australian market, broadcaster expectations, and the uncertain timelines around Nikita Tszyu’s return following his stalled contest.
