The former unified super lightweight champion stepped away from boxing in 2022 following a stoppage loss to Kell Brook, but admits there is just one name that could tempt him into ending his retirement.

Speaking to Clubhouse Boxing, Khan said any comeback would depend entirely on the opponent, but when pressed on who that might be, he named Manny Pacquiao as the lone fighter who could make him reconsider.

Even though Khan agreed that his final appearance came when he was no longer at his peak, his career included significant achievements, including a unified title reign at super lightweight and notable victories over Zab Judah and Marcos Maidana.

The idea of a Pacquiao bout carries added intrigue given that the Filipino fought professionally this year, earning a draw against WBC welterweight champion Mario Barrios, and has indicated plans to continue boxing in 2026, keeping the long-discussed matchup alive, at least in theory.

Despite that, Khan stressed that he is currently content outside the ring. He cited promotional work, real estate ventures, commentary, and television commitments as reasons he has stayed retired, noting he has turned down multiple offers for exhibitions and fights.
