At the Dignity Health Sports Park in Carson, California, in the main event, the WBC Interim World Super Welterweight champion Sebastian “The Towering Inferno” Fundora (20-1-1, 13 KOs) was fighting against Brian “La Bala” Mendoza (22-2, 16 KOs) on Saturday night, aired on Showtime.

As a result, the WBC Interim Super Welterweight champion, southpaw Fundora, was knocked out by the 17th ranked WBC contender Mendoza in just 39 seconds into the seventh round of the scheduled 12-round bout.

During the first three rounds, the significantly taller Fundora utilized his reach advantage to win each round by effectively jabbing. However, in the fifth round, Mendoza managed to get inside Fundora's reach, landing powerful overhand rights. Fundora swiftly retaliated with left uppercuts, causing Mendoza's nose to bleed. The fight came to an abrupt end in the seventh round when Mendoza landed a sequence of devastating blows on Fundora, including an overhand right followed by a crushing left hook and a right-left combo on the chin. Fundora fell to the canvas, and referee Ray Corona administered the full count, signaling Mendoza’s victory.

In an action-packed super lightweight co-main event, Brandun Lee (28-0, 23 KOs) emerged victorious over Pedro “Roca” Campa (34-3-1, 23 KOs) after ten intense rounds. Throughout the fight, both boxers showcased their skills, with Campa taking the lead as the aggressor in the first three rounds. However, Lee’s counterpunching gave him an edge. The mouthpieces of both fighters were knocked out during the bout, and their faces showed signs of damage. The final round saw both fighters giving it their all, with the decision potentially hanging in the balance. Ultimately, the judges scored the fight 99-91, 98-92, and 97-93 in favor of Lee.
