Chris Eubank Jr. may have beaten Conor Benn the first time around, but his new trainer, Brian “Bomac” McIntyre, believes the rematch will showcase a sharper, more disciplined version of the British star.
Eubank earned a thrilling victory over Benn on April 26 yet left unsatisfied with his performance. Without public criticism, he parted ways with Jonathan Banks and brought in McIntyre, best known for guiding Terence Crawford to pound-for-pound dominance, ahead of their November 15 return bout.
Despite limited time together, McIntyre’s confidence in his new charge is unwavering. “Just fine-tuning,” he told Daily Mail Boxing. “That’s what a fighter of that caliber needs - just fixing the mistakes that he made in the first fight before he goes into the second fight.”

The first fight at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium was a fan-friendly slugfest, with both fighters trading heavy shots in a battle more about heart than tactics. While Eubank’s aggressive approach got the job done, McIntyre sees a more efficient path to victory this time. “He’s really doing what we’re asking him to do,” McIntyre said. “It can be a much easier fight this time.”
